The festival runs to Sat 14 Nov, with programme events on peace and reconciliation across the city from Thu 5 Nov. Think poetry, storytelling, crafts, walks and a Cathedral history tour, and most need no booking. It ends with Sense of Unity on Sat 14 Nov at 6pm.

On Sun 25 Oct a lithium-ion battery in a black bin bag set a skip alight at Kenilworth's Cherry Orchard recycling centre, closing it for about 90 minutes. Batteries and vapes need the separate containers.

RSC remembers Sir Patrick Stewart, who has died aged 86
In Stratford-upon-Avon, the RSC has paid tribute to Sir Patrick Stewart, its Honorary Associate Artist. He joined in 1966 and was a core member until 1982, playing Shylock, Prospero and Macbeth among many roles.
