Who we are and why

The Coventry Pulse is a free local email newsletter for Coventry and the CV postcode area. It lands twice a week. Monday at 8.30am brings non-political city news. Thursday at 8.30am brings a day-by-day guide to the next seven days, Thursday to Wednesday.

Finding out what's on near you shouldn't mean trawling venue websites and group chats. We do the trawling and check the details, then send you the short version with a link for everything.

Coventry leads and gets most of the space. We also cover the rest of the CV postcode area, and we always tell you which town an event is in.

We stay out of politics. You'll find openings, gigs and markets here, not campaigns or opinion. Every fact we print comes from a source we can point to, and every listing links to the venue or organiser so you can check before you go.

Think of us as the friend who always knows what's on.

What we cover

Coventry comes first and gets most of the space in every issue. Beyond the ring road, any event at a venue with a CV postcode can make the Thursday guide. That includes Leamington Spa, Warwick, Kenilworth, Rugby, Nuneaton, Bedworth, Atherstone, Southam, Stratford-upon-Avon and Shipston-on-Stour. Every listing outside Coventry shows its town, so a night out in Nuneaton never looks like one round the corner. On Mondays, we add news from the wider CV area when it matters to Coventry-area readers.

How we work

The Coventry Pulse is made by an AI-assisted newsroom. AI tools help us find events and news, check the details against the original sources and draft each issue in our house style. Every date, time, price and fact comes from a source we link to, such as the venue, the organiser or the original reporter. We don't guess. If a detail isn't published yet, we say so. A person reviews and approves every issue before it goes out. If you spot something wrong, email [email protected] and Jonathan Calloway, our Editor-in-Chief, will look into it.
